Wildlife Trust of India (WTI) invites applications from accomplished individuals, with at least 15 years of top-level marketing experience of which 5 years is in an NGO, to take overall charge of its marketing, communications and brand development strategies.

Who we’re looking for

As our Chief of Marketing, you are expected to have a clear proven passion for wildlife and knowledge of conservation issues. You will spearhead the department and lead the Divisions under it to build influence and generate affluence.

You must be able to supervise twin responsibilities of resource generation for the organisation and communication and branding

You must have a deep connect with wildlife and nature proven through volunteering or service besides a professional track record of creating campaigns and initiatives that drive and increase fundraising revenue. You will have the vision to seek out new promotional avenues to build brand and support fundraising and organisational objectives. You will have demonstrable experience in leveraging social media and new technologies for brand development. Experience with a nature conservation NGO will give you an edge. You must be a self-starter, highly networked and result-oriented.

Qualifications and skills

  • A basic degree in life sciences
  • Masters in Mass Communication / Marketing / Branding
  • Minimum 15+ Years’ relevant experience
  • Age between 40-50 years
  • Must have worked in an NGO
  • Must have headed teams in Marketing / Branding / Communications / Campaigns

Broad responsibilities include

  • Conceptualising and developing the brand, marketing and communication strategies for the organisation
  • Overseeing the implementation of said strategies
  • Building and managing the marketing team and ensuring that strategic objectives are implemented
  • Providing lead technical and strategic input into projects under the marketing vertical and campaigns
  • Ensuring strategic alliances with partners, stakeholders, donors and other relevant organisations and individuals to realise organisational objectives
  • Exploring and developing markets and tie-ups for products to generate revenues for wildlife conservation
