Jeetendra Kumar Jakhmola

Hailing from the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, Jeetendra Kumar joined WTI in March 2006 as a Project Assistant in Van Rakshak Project (VRP) one of our earliest projects and long term commitment to the frontline forest staff VRP is also known as the Guardians of the Wild Division, at WTI Headquarters. After graduating from H.N.B. Garhwal University, Uttarakhand, he started his career in 1994 in a private company prior to joining WTI. He has been a long service employee of WTI and is currently the Assistant Project Officer (VRP). He has over 25 years of experience in office assistance and database management. He is also skilled in typing in Devanagari script, a skill used often in the VRP outreach programmes and training. In his long tenure with WTI, he has toured various Protected Areas of India as a part of the VRP training imparting team.

ABOUT TEAM WTI

What began as a three-member team in a small room in south Delhi in 1998, is today a family of about 150 professionals from diverse backgrounds - conservation biologists, scientists, sociologists, wildlife veterinarians, managers, lawyers, finance experts and communication specialists - but committed to the common cause of wildlife. They are based in any of the 15 field stations in remote parts of the country and a central coordinating office in the national capital region. An Executive Management Team comprising experienced conservationists, scientists and managers provide a visionary leadership to the vibrant and enthusiastic WTI team. The Board of Trustees of WTI comprises stalwarts who bring together a collective experience of many decades in the field of conservation, education and management.
