WTI took on the challenge of conserving the Critically Endangered gharial. Working with the Bihar Forest Department and local communities, our team managed to find and save nests, ensure safe hatching and transfer the hatchlings Back To The Wild in the River Gandak, Bihar. Lockdown has not affected the zeal of our biologist who guided local community watchers on video calls to relocate nests to erosion-free sites. Watch how they did it in 2019 and go to the link in our story to read how they did it in 2020, the year of Covid 19. We keep wildlife, Forever Wild and are committed to saving India’s Natural Heritage.
