Watch this rare documentation of a mother leopard caring for her litter of four cubs in a farmer’s shed by our Rapid Action Project (RAP) partners Eco Echo Foundation .
When torrential rains drove a leopardess to a farmer’s shed to give birth to four cubs, it was imperative to keep people away and ensure the safety of the cubs and the mother leopard. Our RAP Project partners rushed to the location in response to a call from the Maharashtra Forest Department officials and installed cameras to document the movements of the leopard.
They helped the forest authorities to sensitse local communities and cordoned off the area to provide much-needed space to the leopards. Watch the video for some rare glimpses into the life of a new mother and how she moves her cubs out of the shed and Back To The Wild. We keep #wildlife Forever Wild and the organisations we support align with our ethos. Wonderful work by Eco Echo Foundation, gratitude to the local community, and the Nashik West and Igatpuri range forest staff.
