An adult female elephant battled torrential currents for about 100 km from the time she was first spotted near Orang National Park. On seeing her distress and finding no opportunity to give her safe passage, the Assam Forest Department called our team to the rescue. Dr Bhaskar Choudhury IFAW-WTI vet joined the rescue team on location. Three villages were evacuated for safety and Dr Choudhury darted the elephant on the second attempt. Watch this till the end to see how a sedated full-grown elephant was moved to a safe location from where she walked away into the forest. We keep wildlife #ForeverWild.
