International Fund for Animal Welfare (www.ifaw.org) Founded in 1969, saves individual animals, animal populations and habitats all over the world. With projects in more than 40 countries, IFAW provides hands-on assistance to animals in need, whether it's dogs and cats, wildlife and livestock, or rescuing animals in the wake of disasters. We also advocate saving populations from cruelty and depletion, such as our campaign to end commercial whaling and seal hunts.

International Union for Conservation of Nature (www.iucn.org) IUCN's work is driven by two features of life today: Global production and consumption patterns are destroying our life support system – nature – at persistent and dangerously high rates. And people, communities, governments and private actors are under-using the potential power of nature and the solutions it can provide to global challenges in fields such as climate change, food security, social and economic development. IUCN calls these nature-based solutions.

CSR in India: Help us lend wildlife a helping hand

Contributing to the conservation of wildlife and wild habitats is a wonderful way to allocate your company's mandatory CSR spend.

With the passage of the Companies Act, 2013, the mandate for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has been formally introduced to the dashboard of the Boards of Indian companies. Schedule VII of Section 135, Point no. (iv) of the Act covers CSR spending on ensuring environmental sustainability, ecological balance, protection of flora and fauna, animal welfare, agroforestry, conservation of natural resources and maintaining quality of soil, air and water.
